After I got married in 1984, my wife and I took a year-long honeymoon in East Asia. The pictures we took are quite dated in many cases. It’s like looking back at a different time in our lives — and also in the lives of the countries we visited.

We started in Tokyo, Seoul, Taibei, and Hong Kong. We then took a two-month side-trip to the Philippines, spent over three months in China, and several months travelling from the north of Thailand to Singapore.

In the map below, I’ve included some photos from our 1987-88 trip to India, as well as a trip I took with my mother and sister in 1980.
