After we got married in 1984, we took a very long East Asian honeymoon, from Fall 1984 to Fall 1985. The pictures we took are quite dated in many cases. It’s like looking back at a different time in our lives — and also in the lives of the countries we visited.
From Calgary, we took Korean Airlines, stopping in Tokyo, Seoul, Taibei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. We took a two-month side-trip to the Philippines before spending over three months in China, and several months travelling from the north of Thailand to Singapore.
Burned out at this point, we postponed our trip to India till 1987-8. I’ve also included some photos from a trip my mother, sister, and I took in 1980.
